Roleplay Regulations!

I find it much simpler to weave a story in the third person point of view than in the first or second. Which is why here in Relinquish your fate we would prefer all roleplay starters and responses to be set in a third person! That means he, she, his, hers, it, they, etc. If that still doesn't ring a bell, you can brush up with the quick summary here. ;)

G R A M M A R

Roleplays should be in complete sentences and at least a paragraph long (200 words)! We understand the casual typo and even speech impediments. However, if it's to the point we can barely understand you, you will be removed from the forum.

V I O L E N C E

As long as it's not depicting excessive violence, we welcome it! That is if it is suiting of your character. So yes that does mean you can throw punches at one another and even shove your hand into someone's hand. If you're not familiar with Proboards Community Guidelines you can check those out here. We do not tolerate talk or roleplays of rape. It goes against the community guidelines and is completely distasteful. Anyone caught involving rape in their roleplays will be immediately terminated!

D E A T H

As we do allow violence, violence will sometimes lead to death. You can and possibly will die at some point in your time here with us. If you do die, all your ongoing roleplays must come to a halt for 72 hrs (3 day). EDIT: This means all the ongoing roleplays in which you are still alive. However, we've altered it to where you're allowed to carry on roleplays as a ghost/soul within Heaven, Hell & the Other Side. Your 72 hours as a ghost/soul will begin as soon as you post your death. Any replies you make to your other threads while dead will be deleted on the spot! Death is further explained within here.

PG-13

I know that a lot of you like to get intimate during your roleplays. Trust me, so do I. However, sexual content goes against Proboards TOS/Community Guidelines. So thus, we are a PG- 13 community.

G O D   M O D E

God mode is one of the most annoying things a roleplayer can do. God mode will not be tolerated on Relinquish Your Fate. You'll get three warnings and after the third you will be banned. Don't know what god mode is? To simply put it, it's when your character has the ability to know everything and is able to go unharmed always. If you're having a simple chit chat at the Grill, by all means chat. But if someone states they pierced a stake through your heart you must roleplay it accordingly. On that note, if your character hasn't learned a bit of information through any of your roleplays - do not automatically make your character hold this knowledge. For example, if Jenna kicked Jeremy out of the house and he went to crash with Matt - only The Gilbert household would typically know, as well as the Donovan household and whoever else heard of it through any who already knew.

F U L L   M O O N S

Hybrids and alphas for the most part are safe. These two are allowed to decide whether they transform on a full moon or not. Werewolves on the other hand must transform! On the days of a full moon, any new starters you send will have to be in wolf form (or shifted). That or you can crash any ongoing, outdoors setting threads! You will remain in wolf form until you finish whatever havoc you have started or simply choose to leave. Vampires! A wolf bite it lethal to you! You should be scared if a wild werewolf appears.
